Living free was just a concept that the brave did in my world.
Getting out of my comfort zone was something, That i feared.Living on my own or even the thought of responsibility put me off.
A turn came in my life, where i wanted to live free and that was only out of the walls of my comfort zone.
The search for a one bed room apartment began.. which ended the moment i fell in love with a tree house.
You heard me.. yes a tree house, in the middle of the city. where would we get this in the centre of Bangalore city!
My name means branching out .. probably that is why my journey with a tree began in the first place.
This leap of living free- living alone... was a part of me branching out.
It was in a bat of an eyelash, that i got the place.i was living in the tree house ,within 15 days of the decision.
Would the grants of the universe come so quickly? surprisingly yes. I guess the wish granting machine was working in my favour.
The only thing that was more than perfect ,is along with a house,i got a private pool.
This was a bonus rather an incentive from the side of the universe.
It was me and the world on either side.
The first few nights/days were tiring and full of excitement. But, within a week. i began to feel rather alone.
I would walk in home to pretty much an empty house.I used to be bone dead, but wanted to talk someone.. it became "anyone" after the second week.
I realised my responsibilities were piling on and i was wallowing in self loneliness.
That is when i realised, each morning I got up to the sunlight through the leaves of a mango tree.
every night i would see the stars through the same tree.
I began to see the tree as each day passed as a support for me through this journey.
A funny story came to my mind:
When i was in grade 5. i had an assignment to make friends with a tree.a At that point, i found it utterly hilarious.
hilarious the least..
Talking to a tree , was weird let alone.. being friends. For the sake of grades, i had to.
Today, just thinking of the very same assignment, it doesn't seem to weird or creepy.
Living on a tree house has connected me to nature again. For the past 10years, i was couped up in a concrete apartment. which all the more made a difference.
Each of my days began to surprise me, waking up to the birds chirping and the sound of the wind. It truly makes my day all the more inviting. It is truly a blessing.
My journey with the house began with a hope to grow and explore my own life. I guess growth and exploration is an idea got out of nature itself.
